Try your hand at horseshoes.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Indulge in delicious fair-style food from the our amazing vendors and enjoy a refreshing beverage from the Concessions Stand/Beer Garden. And as the sun sets, get ready to hit the dance floor with our favorite DJ...Doug Manhart at our Concert in the Park! Then, lace up your running shoes for the Lisa Althouse Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk. It's a great way to start the day and honor a special member of our community.
Don't miss the opening ceremonies at 6 pm, where we'll also unveil the Memorial Wall, a touching tribute to our loved ones.
On Sunday, May 25th, wake up bright and early for a hot breakfast provided by the Gove County Sheriff’s Office and Gove County Emergency Management.
Afterwards, it's time to hit the sand for the Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament or show off your wheels at the Car Show. And don't miss out on the thrilling Hot Shot Competition and the exciting Burger Battle! For the little ones, there's plenty of fun activities too! From face painting to a Kids Cornhole Toss Tournament, there's something for everyone to enjoy. For those seeking a thrilling experience, hop on our Virtual Reality Roller Coaster from 1–6pm. And for those looking for a unique experience, don't miss the Reaction Training Lights with Drunk Goggles Impairment Demonstration, sponsored by the Gove County Sheriff’s Office. It's a fun and educational way to learn about the importance of responsible decision-making.

We all in critical condition, babies, but you can tell me where it hurts, because I got the healing prescription here from the big CS&BBQ musical medicine cabinet. Now I am talking about your 50,000 watt intensive care unit, babies! So just sit right down, relax, open your ears real wide and say, "Give it to me straight, Doctor, I can take it!""
Let's dive into the car show, the "Cruise" in Cruise, Shoes & BBQs. We welcome everything with wheels (or wings or propellers)! From fancy cars to motorcycles, bicycles, unicycles, ATVs, UFOs (you never know!), tractors, buses, trains, planes, boats, submarines, and even five-row station wagons. If you’ve got a favorite ride and want to show it off, bring it to our show on Sunday, May 25. Registration is from 9-11 AM and only costs $20. That $20 gets you a goody bag filled with drinks and snacks to keep you from turning into a snickers commercial.
Our awards are as diverse as our entries, including Best of Show, "Chicks Dig It," "Most Likely to Get Muddy," and Best Badass Paint. New this year: Best Rat Rod—for those rough and rowdy rides with serious character—and in honor of the Wheatland All-School Reunion, we’re adding Best Blast from the Past, awarded to the best WHS alumni vehicle that was cruisin’ back in their high school days. You'll have the honor of hanging your banner to our memorial wall, ensuring their memory is forever etched in our hearts. If you're unable to attend the ceremony, don’t worry. You're welcome to hang your banner later that evening or on Sunday, May 25th. Alternatively, drop it off at 218 Main in Grainfield, and we'll ensure it's displayed.

The 3rd annual Cruise, Shoes & BBQs Pickleball Tournament! Taking place on Saturday, May 24th, starting at 4:30pm, it's bound to be a blast!
While we can't promise it'll be as intense as a competitive league in a retirement community, we can guarantee a fantastic time for all. We've even divided the tournament into two categories: Youth (12 and under) starting at 4:30 pm (registration by 4 pm) and Competitive starting at 6 pm (registration by 5:30 pm).
No need to pre-register! Just simply showing up at 4 pm at the pickleball courts (basketball courts). And the best part? It's all FREE!
Plus, there are cool Cruise, Shoes & BBQs commemorative items up for grabs as prizes, along with gift certificates to the concessions for an ice-cold drink to cool down after the competition.

This year’s run will take place on Saturday evening—with an Aloha twist! We’re soaking up the island vibes at Cruise, Shoes & BBQs, and there’s no better way to celebrate Lisa’s vibrant, joyful spirit than with a colorful, high-energy run in her honor.
Lisa was a fun, happy soul who brought light wherever she went—and we can’t think of a better way to reflect that energy than with a Color Run filled with laughter, music, and tropical fun.
