Organizations and churches are the heart of small communities, creating a sense of belonging and connection. They bring people together through shared values, traditions, and support systems. Churches offer not only spiritual guidance but also essential services like food banks and counseling, helping those in need.
Local organizations address specific community interests, encouraging collaboration and volunteerism. Together, they foster a spirit of unity, ensuring that everyone feels valued and cared for. Their presence enriches our lives, making our community a warmer, more supportive place to call home.

The Gove County Community Foundation (GCCF) Youth Board is dedicated to empowering the next generation of community leaders. Relaunched in 2024 under the leadership of Sheyenne Spresser, the Youth Board provides local students with opportunities to engage in philanthropy, leadership development, and community service.
Students from both school districts in Gove County come together to learn about the importance of giving back, review grant applications, and make funding decisions that directly impact their schools and communities. The board also participates in leadership activities designed to foster collaboration, critical thinking, and a passion for community improvement.
By equipping young people with hands-on experience in charitable giving and nonprofit work, the GCCF Youth Foundation is shaping future leaders who are committed to sustaining and enhancing the small-town quality of life in Gove County.
If you know a student who would be a great addition to the Youth Board, or if you're a student interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you!

Club 3:16 is a youth group based out of the Gove Community Bible Church. Our goal is to provide a welcoming and safe place for kids in grades 5-12 to come and meet with other kids who love Jesus. Our doors are open to any child from any church and school. If you don’t have a church home that’s okay you are welcome here!
We have a meal and fellowship followed by worship and a Bible lesson.
Our hope is that we can provide a reprieve for our students in the middle of the week where they can freely love God and form friendships with other kids from school who also love God which will ultimately make school and life just a bit easier.
Transportation is provided from Quinter with a pick up location in Grainfield.

The Opera House was built in 1887 by the community. The Opera House features an iron facade. It is one of only two remaining. The Opera House was said to be "the finest between Salina and Denver" after it was built. It was the major entertainment site for miles around. After many years had passed it became vacant and deteriorated. In 1997 citizens began efforts to preserve and restore the Opera House. Today it is fully restored and hosts many functions.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
Tours are available.
